Only 35 Years to Go!

At some point, you have probably imagined a scenario like that in The Matrix, where you could download your consciousness into a computer simulator.  And if you're visiting this blog, chances are you've imagined doing that so you could be a woman in an artificial reality.  If you watched last night's episode of The Colbert Report, you heard his guest Ray Kurzweil say that it would be possible by the year 2045.

Colbert actually asks if he could be a lady; I suspect if this technology becomes real, we'll probably see a lot of "digital cross-dressers" who are curious to try it.  


This is very exciting news!  It's all very speculative, of course, and it may not happen after all.  But just thinking about it makes me feel hopeful.  If this doesn't come to be, I will be very disappointed.

I've already started "shopping" through my porn files to find the women I want to use as avatars.  No doubt, I'll probably end up with an massive list by the time 2045 comes around.  I'm pretty sure that, like outfits, we'll have many that we keep around only for rare occasions, and some that we feel more comfortable wearing day-to-day.  Although some of us, like Alexia, may have a particular form in mind that we like best.

Alexia is to Crossdreaming as AC/DC is to music:  find what you like best, and stick with it.
